1080 Drops of Compassion: A Project for World Peace

With George Wiegand, Linda Copenhagen, Andi Egle and Carmen Ojeda

July 21 - 23, 2023

  • $800.00 – For 1 guest in Private Room (Shared Cottage)
COVID POLICY: For your safety and ours, we require proof of vaccination AND negative test result from all visitors to Ratna Ling Retreat Center. We wish to provide peace of mind for all of our residents and guests.

When we think deeply of world peace, we realize it starts with one person at a time. Cultivating love, joy, and equanimity in one’s heart and having the courage and care to share it with every person and place we connect with.

At Ratna Ling, we are starting a peace project to spread love and compassion around the world. We are creating stones with the mantra of Avalokiteshvara, a Buddhist deity who is the embodiment of compassion. This  6-syllable mantra OM MANI PADME HUM has the power to bring immeasurable love and peace to all who see it and hear it. It is essentially the presence of Avalokiteshvara and the energy of loving-kindness.  At this retreat, you will have the opportunity to create your own Mani Stone, which you can take home with you to share wherever you feel could use more ease and harmony. Our goal is to spread at least 1080 Mani Stones around the world.

This weekend includes:

  • Meditation
  • Kum Nye (Tibetan Yoga)
  • Mantra/Chanting
  • Reflections on Compassion
  • Introductions to Buddhist Deities of Compassion
  • Sacred Art Project: Mani Stones

If you are looking to cultivate more kindness and reconciliation in your life, please join us for this special weekend dedicated to world peace and harmony.
