“Kum Nye heals both our bodies and minds, bringing their energies together to function calmly and smoothly.” — Tarthang Tulku, Kum Nye Tibetan Yoga
Kum Nye, which may be thought of as mindfulness in motion, is a movement system that integrates our awareness of body and mind. This Kum Nye class will draw from the Kum Nye Book, Kum Nye Tibetan Yoga. The themes we will explore include feelings and sensations, the inner and outer massage of feeling, breath, sitting, and working with the senses. Each class will have a theme. The emphasis will be on practice. Readings and resources will be suggested for those who wish to explore KN themes and theory more deeply
This course may be attended as an introduction series to Kum Nye practice and basic instructions will be included in each class for anyone new to Kum Nye. It is appropriate for all levels and abilities; adaptations to exercises will be included for those with physical limitations. Experienced and beginning students are welcome and may join at any time.
Please note – we much close registration several days prior to the class start date to allow time for registration with the organization offering the class. If you are interested, sign up now!!
